Welcome to BetterParentAI, operated by Better Applications LLC (“we,” “us,” “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you access or use our mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). By using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.

1. Overview

BetterParentAI is a digital parenting assistant designed to help parents better understand, communicate with, and support their children through safe, AI-guided conversations. To provide the Services, we may collect information you provide directly, information generated through your use of the Services, and limited technical information from your device.

  • Have the legal capacity to use the Services; and
  • Use the Services only for lawful and personal purposes.

If you provide information about another person, including a child, you represent that you have the authority to provide that information and that your use of the Services complies with applicable law.

3. Information We Collect

We may collect the following categories of information:

  • Account information, such as your name, email address, authentication provider, user ID, and account settings;
  • User-provided content, such as parenting questions, text prompts, selected tone preferences, feedback, and other information you submit through the Services;
  • App usage information, such as feature usage, subscription status, interaction history, error logs, and diagnostic data;
  • Device and technical information, such as device type, operating system, app version, IP address, browser type, and general usage analytics;
  • Payment and subscription information, such as purchase status, subscription plan, renewal status, and transaction identifiers. We do not store full payment card details on our servers.

Please avoid submitting highly sensitive information unless necessary for the parenting context you are asking about.

4. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and improve the Services;
  • Generate AI-assisted parenting responses based on your prompts and selected preferences;
  • Personalize your experience and maintain your account settings;
  • Process subscriptions, purchases, account status, and access to paid features;
  • Respond to support requests, feedback, and account deletion requests;
  • Monitor, secure, debug, and protect the Services;
  • Prevent misuse, fraud, abuse, or unauthorized access;
  • Analyze usage trends and improve response quality; and
  • Comply with legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations.

We may use de-identified or aggregated information to improve the Services, evaluate product performance, and develop safer and more useful features.

5. AI Processing and User Content

a. AI-generated responses. When you submit a prompt, question, or related context, that content may be processed by AI service providers to generate a response.

b. Accuracy and safety. AI responses may contain errors and are not a substitute for professional advice. You should not submit emergency, medical, legal, or crisis situations into the Services.

c. Improvement and quality. We may review, store, or analyze user prompts, AI responses, feedback, and related usage data to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Services, subject to applicable law and this Privacy Policy.

6. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service providers. We may share information with vendors that help us operate the Services, such as cloud hosting, authentication, analytics, payment processing, app infrastructure, customer support, and AI processing providers.
  • Platform providers. If you use Apple, Google, Firebase, App Store, Google Play, or similar services, those providers may process information according to their own terms and privacy policies.
  • Legal compliance. We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, court order, legal process, or government request.
  • Safety and security. We may disclose information when we believe it is necessary to protect the rights, safety, or security of users, the public, our company, or the Services.
  • Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, maintain your account, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, improve safety, and support legitimate business purposes.

Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information, the reason it was collected, and applicable legal or operational requirements. We may retain de-identified or aggregated information for longer periods.

8. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to:

  • Access the personal information we maintain about you;
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
  • Request deletion of your account or personal information;
  • Object to or restrict certain processing;
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; and
  • Request a copy of certain information in a portable format.

You may request account deletion through the app where available or by contacting us at betterparentai@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing certain requests.

9. Third-Party Services

Our Services may link to or integrate with third-party services (e.g., Apple, Google, Firebase, OpenAI, payment processors, analytics providers, or app store providers). Your use of those services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the privacy practices, security practices, or content of third-party services.

10. Children’s Privacy

The Services are intended for parents and adults and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13.

If you believe a child has provided us with personal information without appropriate consent, please contact us at betterparentai@gmail.com, and we will take appropriate steps to delete such information.

Parents should avoid submitting unnecessary identifying information about children, such as full names, addresses, school names, precise locations, or other sensitive details.

11. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.

However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of information transmitted to or stored by the Services.

12. International Users

The Services are operated from the United States. If you access the Services from outside the United States, your information may be processed and stored in the United States or other jurisdictions where our service providers operate.

By using the Services, you understand that your information may be transferred to jurisdictions that may have data protection laws different from those in your location.

13. California and Other State Privacy Rights

Depending on your state of residence, you may have additional privacy rights under applicable state privacy laws. These may include the right to know, access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of certain personal information, and the right to opt out of certain uses or disclosures.

We do not sell personal information. We also do not knowingly sell or share personal information of children under 16.

To exercise applicable privacy rights, contact us at betterparentai@gmail.com.

14. Do Not Track and Analytics

Some browsers offer “Do Not Track” signals. Because there is no uniform industry standard for responding to these signals, we may not respond to them.

We may use analytics tools to understand how users interact with the Services, improve performance, diagnose issues, and make product decisions. Analytics information may include device, usage, and interaction data, but we do not use analytics to collect full payment card details.

15. Governing Law and Venue

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. To the extent permitted by law, disputes relating to this Privacy Policy will be handled in the state and federal courts located in Maricopa County, Arizona.

16. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updated versions will be indicated by the “Last updated” date above. Material changes may be communicated via the app, email, or our website. Continued use after changes means you acknowledge the revised Privacy Policy.
